TASTING NOTESLa Galope rose is a blend of CabernetSauvignon and Merlot resulting in anattractive pale pink color. Lots of red fruitaromas such as strawberry and raspberry.Fresh and fruity with a pleasant lingeringfinish. The perfect summer wine to beenjoyed well chilled as an aperitif or withtapas, salads and grilled seafood or whitemeat.ABOUT THE WINERYLa Galope is a special brand produced bythe renowned Domaine de lHerre winery,an historic property founded in 1974 withapproximately 130 hectares of vineyards inthe heart of Gascony, at the foot of thePyrenees, in South-West France.The micro-climate of Gascony and the sandclayey soils make this a perfect terroir forSauvignon Blanc. The vineyards arecultivated in a low-input process. Tominimize the dangerous effects of remedialtreatments, the vineyard is constantlymonitored, preventive treatments arehomeopathic and respect the soil. To maintain the aromas,the grapes are harvested early in the morning andimmediately taken to the state-of-the-art INERTYS pressto reduce risk of oxidation during thedelicate pressingphase. After cold stabilization and removal of heavyorganic matter, the wines ferment slowly and gently at16°C.AGING On lees and agitation of fine sediment with constanttemperature control.ALCOHOL CONTENT 12%VINTAGE NOTES A wet and cold spring is a sign of late harvest. Thecool and dry summer increases the delay of thegrapevine growth cycle and predicts an exceptionalaromatic quality if the grape. Very good crushingconditions allowed to harvest at the best level ofmaturity and give to the wine an unbelievable aromaticcomplexity.NOTES Comte Tolosan is one the the 5 regional PGI (ProtectedGeographic areas) in the South West Basin, borderedby the mountains of the Pyrenees to the south, theMassif Central to the north and east and the AtlanticOcean to the west. It takes in the Adour watershed andthe Upper Garonne basin. Most of the vineyard isplanted in Tertiary sediments of the Aquitaine basin andancient alluvial deposits on the Quaternary terraces.
